Nothing should say more about one’s politics than getting an endorsement from an internationally known anti-semitic, and ex KKK grand wizard. Two days ago, David Duke endorsed Donald Trump to be the next PotUS:
“Trump is really — he’s really going all out. He’s saying what no other Republicans have said, few conservatives say. And he’s also gone to the point where he says it’s not just illegal immigration, it’s legal immigration,” Duke said last week on his radio show
The only real response for a candidate to do in this sort of situation, is to repudiate. Which, Trump did, sort of:
“I don’t need his endorsement, I certainly wouldn’t want his endorsement, I don’t need anybody’s endorsement,” Trump
However, when asked if he would repudiate the endorsement, Trump said:
“I would do that if it would make you feel better,” he said, adding “I don’t know anything about him.”
Which to me, implies that he didn’t have a problem with an anti-semitic and ex-kkk grand wizard endorsing. But was willing to repudiate if people are offended by him accepting this endorsement. I would hope, anyone that may have previously been a supporter of Trump, might second guess supporting his type of politics.
